Christchurch International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in the South Island. It is also the main New Zealand airport for flights to and from Antarctica. Christchurch International Airport is located 12 km north-west of the city.

The Christchurch Convention Centre is the only purpose built Convention venue in New Zealand. It is situated in picturesque Christchurch city just 15 minutes drive from the International airport and within walking distance of the CBD and all major city hotels.
